Arnèto Umbria White IGT

Rediscovered just over 10 years ago, the Trebbiano Autoctono variety is a unique vine that belongs to our territory and has always been part of its agriculture. Evidence of its cultivation dates back to the 1st century AD. Originally from the Spoleto area, from which it takes its name, it produces wines of particular expressiveness, very different from those derived from other varieties of Trebbiano grapes widespread in Central Italy. In fact, it is a vine whose fruits give wines with a strong personality, very fragrant, always characterized by good acidity and a certain longevity.

Vinification of Trebbiano Umbria Bianco IGT "Arnèto"

It is carried out by selecting only the best bunches. After a few days of cold maceration on the skins, the must is transferred to large Slavonian oak barrels where fermentation begins naturally, thanks to indigenous yeasts. The wine also spontaneously undergoes malolactic fermentation and remains on the yeasts for about 12 months while it clarifies through decantation. Bottling occurs without filtration in order to keep the vitality of the wine intact; any deposits present on the bottom of the bottle are an indication of this production choice. After bottling, the wine ages in the cellar for at least 6 months before being marketed.
